Well to be fair to Strickland, they say in sparring you're only supposed to hit as hard as you want to be hit. The Japanese guy was starting to throw full power punches to keep Sean at bay. Sean responded in kind.

Strickland was simply better and more controled, the small guy should try to keep good shots and take it slow, he gassed out without sean needing to do nothing. he thrown the speed advantage away by gassing out too fast in the round and strickland capitalize on it. Sean was not going that hard so, looks like a moderate sparring, I think the weight was not the main cause for his victory
